Serious crash near border
A head-on crash near the BC/Alberta border closed highway 1 for several hours on Tuesday.
The incident occurred west of Field BC, near the boundary of Yoho National Park around 6 p.m. Both lanes were closed until the early morning hours of Wednesday, June 4.
There are reports the crash was between a car and a semi. An air ambulance transported two people to hospital with serious injuries.
The road was reopened early this morning.
