Suspect fires at police
Police say a man shot at an officer last night who was responding to a possible crime being committed in Surrey.
CTV Vancouver is reporting that a 24-year-old man is in custody and facing charges after discharging a firearm as an officer approached him on King George Blvd. just before 9 p.m.
Sgt. Dale Carr says the officer was called to reports of a man trying to pry open a back door when the shooting took place. He immediately repositioned himself and returned fire.
The suspect then dropped his weapon and was taken into custody. A firearm was taken from the scene. Neither person was injured in the shooting.
