Fatal motorcycle crash
On Sunday morning at 9:09 a.m., Oceanside RCMP were called to a serious motorcycle collision on the Island Highway in the Nanoose Flats area.
One male was found deceased at the scene.
The motorcycle had been travelling southbound toward Nanaimo when it appears the driver lost control.
The driver has been identified as a 33-year-old man from the Lower Mainland.
His name is not being released at this time pending notification of family.
This matter is currently being investigated by the Central Island Traffic Services and the BC Coroners Service.
