Hwy. 1 delays
Update -- May 21
Park crews were able to work over the long weekend to allow two way traffic to be maintained following last Friday's mudslide. But traffic will be affected with 30 minute delays to clean out mud catchment areas and ditches which are again at capacity.
Traffic will be affected from 8:00 a.m. - 8:00 p.m.
Update -- 2 P.M. Highway 1 has now reopened to two way traffic between Golden and Revelstoke. The area was reduced to single lane alternative following a mud slide in Glacier National Park 65km west of Golden.

Original story -- May 16
A mudslide has affected travel on the Trans Canada Highway through Rogers Pass.
Traffic has been reduced to single lane alternating traffic to allow crews and equipment to work at removing the debris.
The slide hit in an area of Glacier National Park, 65 km west of Golden.
Travellers can anticipate delays of up to 30 minutes while the site is cleared.
DriveBC will update the situation later today.
In the meantime, motorists using that section of the highway between Revelstoke and Golden over the long weekend are being advised that warming temperatures and anticipated precipitation could affect mudflow activity and cause further closures.
Motorists should consider travelling early in the day or use alternate routes.
Heavy traffic volumes are expected.
