3 arrested for sexual attacks

Multiple charges have been laid against three men in connection with two separate violent assaults against sex workers in Surrey, BC.

Police say a total of 17 charges have been filed against the suspects in connection with the alleged offences dating back two years.

In the first case in August 2012, police allege Simranpreet Dhillon and Sukhraj Chahal picked up a sex worker and drove her to a secluded area where she was physically and sexually assaulted.

Mounties allege that in October 2012, Dhillon and a man named Gurginder Sodha picked up another sex worker and took her to an isolated area where she was sexually assaulted and beaten.

Police say the woman suffered serious injuries and endured a lengthy recovery in hospital.

Mounties say more sex workers may have been victimized and they are urging the women to come forward.
