Snow Report

Spring break is here and ski and snowboard conditions look great at our local mountains as the season winds to a close.

All of the major mountains in the Okanagan Valley are still open with alpine bases of over 200 centimetres of snow. Many of the resorts are offering spring deals.

Big White has seen 17 centimetres of new snow fall over the past 24 hours and now sports a base of 254 cm. They have 16 lifts open and 118 runs.

Apex Mountain has a similar base of 256 centimetres, with 32cm of snow having fallen over the past 24 hours. They have four lifts open and 70 trails ready to ski.

They’ve also just built a new rail that will break the world record for a ski or snowboard rail slide for anyone that can hit it from top to bottom. All Crystal Mountain season pass holders will also receive 50 per cent off lift tickets until April 6.

Silver Star has a 211 cm base, with three cm of new snow over the past 24 hours.

All 116 of their runs are open, as are 12 lifts.
