Church fire suspect
Castlegar RCMP have identified a man believed to have set fire to a church on Columbia Avenue earlier this week.
A large fire broke out at the Kinnaird Church of God on Tuesday night, resulting in substantial damage.
No one was injured in the blaze, but authorities are treating it as suspicious.
The male suspect is currently in custody and will make his first court appearance on March 26.
They would not comment on whether this incident is related to another church fire in the same town that was deemed arson last year.
Police are still looking to speak with any witnesses to this incident, and anyone with information is asked to call the Castlegar RCMP.
Send photos and video of the fire to [email protected]
