Snow expected on Coq.
A special weather statement has been issued for the Coquihalla Highway from Hope to Merritt.
Environment Canada is forecasting heavy snow today and tonight, with 15 centimetres expected by Wednesday morning.
That is in stark contrast to weather conditions seen in the Okanagan Valley where most of the snow has already melted away and residents are enjoying a blue sky and balmy temperatures.
The public is advised to monitor future forecasts and warnings before venturing out onto the high mountain passes.
