Avalanche victims survive
Two people trapped by an avalanche in the Kootenays are alive, and safe.
The slide came down near Highway Three near Kootenay Pass between Salmo and Creston early afternoon on Sunday.
Conditions were poor, and it was necessary for Nelson Search and Rescue to travel by skis to the scene.
The victims are reportedly injured but alive.
