Body found in Coquitlam home

The body of a female was found Sunday afternoon by ambulance and fire personnel who were called to a residence on Panorama Drive in Coquitlam.

The call was for a person in medical distress. First responders found a deceased female at the home, and called Coquitlam RCMP to the scene. 

The incident is being treated as a homicide. 

An adult male suspect is in custody, and IHIT (Integrated Homicide Investigation Team) has taken charge of the investigation.

"We are working with the Coquitlam RCMP to determine what occurred at the residence and if the male in custody played any part in this homicide." says Sgt. Adam MacIntosh of IHIT.
