Vicious slashing - Van's 1st homicide
Vancouver has recorded its first homicide of 2014.
Vancouver Police Sgt. Randy Fincham says a man died early Monday from a severe slash wound.
Fincham says the 28-year-old was attacked on a busy corner in downtown Vancouver just after 11 p.m. Sunday.
He was rushed to hospital but could not be saved.
Fincham says witnesses helped police track two suspects who are now in custody.
There is no word on a motive for the attack, charges have not been laid and the name of the victim has not been released.
