Arson arrest made in Salmon Arm fire
A 38-year-old Salmon Arm man has been arrested for allegedly burning down his former employer's business.
Adam Schultz faces charges of arson and theft in connection with a fire last summer that destroyed the Pedro Gonzales Fruit market in Salmon Arm.
The fire started shortly after midnight on Sept 9, 2013.
Through the course of the investigation it was determined the fire had been intentionally set.
The case was turned over to the RCMP who initiated an arson investigation.
RCMP in Salmon Arm say the complex, four month investigation, is now complete.
"With the assistance of RCMP support units, this issue has now been resolved with the arrest of a Salmon Arm resident," says Staff Sgt. Kevin Keane.
Schultz is scheduled to appear in court in Salmon Arm March 18 to answer to the charges.
