A 29-year-old Alberta man was found deceased in avalanche debris on December 20.
RCMP in Golden, BC received a report from Kicking Horse Mountain Resort of an out of bounds avalanche which had occurred beyond the boundary of the ski resort.
One male was reported as missing by a fellow snow boarder. Police activated the Provincial Emergency Plan immediately and Golden Search and Rescue responded.
The man was located in the debris and transported to Golden Hospital where he was pronounced deceased.
