How to increase your income

First order of business and sales is that you have to believe in yourself and what you do. If you don’t, the road to success might be uphill.
Can you still make a living? Sure, absolutely. But it will be difficult to get past a certain mark and that mark will be different for everyone.
The biggest hurdle I find my private clients have is believing that the business is there or whether they can make the sale.
First of all, if you believe business is hard to get – it will be.
If you believe times are tough, that will come through in every word you say – even if you’re saying all the right things.
If you talk about business being slow, even if it’s not to potential customers, that talk will become your reality.
Why? Well, as basic as it gets – like energy attracts like energy.
And for those of you that have been in business and sales for awhile, you will have created beliefs around your business, your sales cycle, your busy times, your slow times. You’ll come to expect that your business will operate in a certain way – it’s busy during the summer, quite at Christmas, it takes 6 months and 8 contacts to get a sale and I didn’t get that sale because they don’t have the money. Sound familiar?
Do you know by having those expectations that this is the future you’re creating? One where the summers are busy, Christmas is slow, it will take about 6 months and 8 contacts (give or take) to get a sale and the reason that most people don’t buy is that they don’t have the money.
That’s cool, but is that really the business and sales reality that you want to create?
I want you, instead, to imagine a different world. One where you CAN make bigger leaps than you thought possible. Quantum leaps. Does that interest you?
I thought it might.
Here’s what I want you to do differently. I want you to imagine your ideal outcome. Then I’d like you to start asking questions.
- What would it take to be busier at Christmas?
- What would it take to have a 4 week sales cycle?
- What would it take for customers to totally get the value of what I sell?
- What would it take to have customers call me to buy? (really, how cool would that be?)
Now, just ask those questions of your subconscious, or of the Universe (whatever works for you)- just put that question out there and pay attention to what bubbles up.
Then, when you get inspirations, act. Right then. Take action.
Notice if there is any kind of resistance on your part. If there is – you’ll want to start using a clearing process to clear out any of those subconscious blocks that are stopping you. I recommend the Sedona Method and Emotional Freedom Technique and the one I use with my clients is Access Consciousness. These are all great techniques that shift the beliefs that you often don’t even know you have.

Here’s the thing, you want to work smarter and you want results faster, right? In order to do that, you need to believe that the status quo doesn’t have to remain the status quo. At the very least, you need to entertain that things can be different.
