I am trying to make some positive changes to my life and I am finding it difficult to stay optimistic and have faith that I can do it. Some days I feel very confident in everything and other days I feel as though nothing is working out as I had planned. Can you please advise me on how stay on track and to feel more confident more often than not. Thank you, D.H.
Congratulations on having the desire to make positive changes in your life; ironically, awareness of what needs to be changed and the willingness to do it is the first and most crucial step.
Your confidence will build as you start to see the manifestations of your intentions; in the meantime a quality worthy of cultivating is Patience. We do live in a benevolent Universe and also with that comes Divine Timing.
We cannot control the Divine Timing of everything but we can control our expectations of what that may look like. If you can align your timing with that of the Divine and then let go you will find that your changes will manifest more rapidly. Sometimes our own expectation of timing serves to create a block.
If you can imagine holding a handful of sand tightly, this would exemplify the block that we subconsciously create. Now try to image opening your hand and allowing the grains of sand to flow through your fingers. This is an example of letting go and allowing your changes to materialize, effortlessly.
An exercise you can do every day that will help you to keep the faith and remind you of all the good that is happening in the moment is to write a gratitude list every morning.
You start your list by saying “I am grateful for…” and then at the end of thing you list write 'Thank you' three times.
Your list should include at least ten things. After doing this everyday for about one month you will have re-trained your subconscious to believe in all the good and wonderful things you have and have accomplished already. What we are grateful for comes back to us in many ways and usually in bigger ways. You will notice to changes for the positive occurring more frequently for you as you continue to do this.
A book that I would recommend reading is called “The Magic” by Rhonda Byrne. In this book Rhonda reveals the mystery behind a well known bible scripture that states: “Whoever has will be given more, and he will have an abundance. Whoever does not have, even what he has will be taken from him.”
The answer to the mystery behind this scripture is gratitude and so the scripture would read like this: “Whoever has gratitude will be given more……Whoever does not have gratitude, even what he has will be taken from him.”
Every day is a new day…. Allow today and every day to be filled with gratitude; changes will happen magically.
