Welcome to a new week and a new day! Today I would like to share with you the power of the subconscious mind. It is the second principle to follow on our creative path to living an ideal year.
The subconscious mind is extremely powerful. It is our “yes” machine and therefore whatever directives we give it; it has no choice but to oblige us. For example, when we go to a restaurant our server will take our order and deliver it to us, just as we asked. The subconscious mind is no different and so it is important that we need to be clear about what it is we are ordering, so to speak.
If we know what we want and yet do not truly believe that it can or should happen it likely won’t happen. This ambiguity sets up the subconscious mind to actually deliver just that ....ambiguity.
There are many things we can do to prevent this from this happening. One is to be crystal clear in the direction we want to go and to believe, beyond a shadow of doubt that we do deserve to have it. This may require us to reflect on inner beliefs from our past that are contrary to what we desire to achieve and make the clear decision to let them go. A great way to do this is to make a list of all negative beliefs that stand in our way and then make a second list of positive beliefs, in the form of affirmations, to replace them. Burn the negative beliefs and decide to focus on and affirm the positive. The subconscious mind will accept them as your new reality.
Another way to prevent the mixed messages is to see the value in what you desire. In other words, what value does it bring to your immediate environment, the community and society as a whole? All dreams and desires have value. All you need to do it determine what that is for yourself. A wonderful affirmation I like to use for this is “I offer my dreams and desires as a source of inspiration and goodness to the world. With their manifestation I will bring joy, love, peace and prosperity to all those whom I touch”.
Finally we actively seek support from friends, family, our church or any group that we belong to keep us positive and courageous in the manifestation of our dreams and desires. It is important to note here that we to surround ourselves with those people who want the best for us and will be our “cheerleaders” along the way.
It does not take long to re-program our subconscious mind; thirty days in fact. All of the methods above are a powerful way to do that.
“There is only one power in the Universe, and that is the power of decision. All else follows.” Ralph Blum
My challenge to you: Just for today.... decide you deserve your dreams.
