A New Day With Dawn

Dear Dawn...

I’m having major problems at work with this new owner. He has been late the last three times with payroll and owes lots of money.  There are bill collectors coming in from everywhere. I have set up my own home business and I'm wondering if you can give me any guidance?  Is this a good time to break away from this situation and start working on my own career path?

Thank you for your advice, D.

Dear D.,

I am being guided to advise you to put your primary focus on your home based business.

Home based businesses are certainly becoming a lucrative option for many people to create their own economy on their own time and in the comfort of their home.

I would not advise that you leave your job quite yet; if you can manage your frustrations and concerns with the new owner until you're are thriving in your home business you will find that you are going to be successful with it sooner rather than later.

Things will improve with the new owner by mid-November which will help you through the holiday season without any extra financial strain and stress.

The quality that would best serve you to cultivate right now is ‘Patience’. This is easier said than done but even some progress in this would benefit your overall outlook on your job and your life.

I like to think of patience as best being developed by the willingness to surrender. For you this would mean that you can surrender the issues with the new owner to a higher power and simply focus on doing the best you can do; ultimately this is all that we really have power over in the end; ourselves.

Trust that every inspired action you to take to do your job to the greatest of your ability, in these less than ideal circumstances, will be rewarded through your home business.

There is also an opportunity for you to learn from this new owner. Strive to learn from the mistakes being made and choose to do better for yourself as an owner in your home business.

Your success is imminent and know that you deserve this. Enjoy the process of building your home business and know in the near future it will be your full-time source of prosperity and abundance.

In the meantime, as hard as things are at work, don’t throw the baby out with the bathwater, so to speak. You will have learned some invaluable insights into business ownership by doing so. In your case, you are learning what to do in business by experiencing what not do and what does not work. Many of us learn best this way and benefit from it tremendously.

Every day is a new day…. Just for today, try to be a little more patient with the new owner and with yourself and choose instead to surrender and learn all that you can. Put your primary focus on your home business, soon you will prosper.
