Charle Cournoyer won bronze in the men's short track 500m Friday, Canada's fourth medal of the day.
Charle Cournoyer has won a bronze medal for Canada in the men’s 500m short track.
The 22-year-old qualified smoothly to the finals. In the race he was out second, before being passed, but managed to hang on for third spot.
It is Canada’s third medal in short track at these Games along with the men’s 1500m and ladies’ 3000m relay. It also brings today’s medal count to four, tying Canada’s all-time best day at an Olympic Winter Games.
