Kelowna's Kelsey Serwa gets her chance to shine in the Olympic spotlight Tuesday when she competes in ski cross at the 2010 Winter Games.
Serwa is Canada's top hope for a medal in the event. She is the number one ranked Canadian heading into the event.
Prior to the start of the games, Serwa talked to Castanet's Kelly Hayes about the course and her main competition.
"Cypress is going to be a bigger course and that type of course tends to suit me so hopefully it plays in my favour," says Serwa.
"My own teammates! Right now we're ranked 2,3,4 in the World, so I think they are probably the biggest competition, not only for myself, but for everyone."
Qualifications begin at 10:30 a.m. with the knockout rounds starting shortly after 1 p.m.
The final is set for 2 p.m.
