Are you interested in near-death-experiences? Have you or someone close to you had an NDE? Are you close to or caring for someone near to end of life? Are you simply curious about experiences some people have had when then have been considered clinically ‘dead’? If this non-profit organization, The International Association of Near Death Studies, sounds intriguing to you, you might be interested to learn that a chapter of this global research organization known as IANDS has recently started here in Penticton to serve the Okanagan. IANDS is dedicated to the scientific research of Near Death Experiences and the local chapter is facilitated by Jose Hernandez and his wife, Anastasia. Jose had participated in an IANDS chapter in South Florida for 10 years after having an NDE experience himself in 2000.

The local IANDS Okanagan Chapter has recently changed it's meeting time and now meets monthly on the second Monday of each month at the Ooknakane Friendship Center, 146 Ellis Street in Penticton from 5:30pm to 7:30pm. The meetings are open to all. Donations to cover room and coffee welcome, pay what you can $0 to $10. Please go to IANDS.org to learn more about the organization or contact Jose or Anastasia for information on the local meetings at [email protected] or call us at 778-381-8123.
