Uptown Rutland is hosting the First Annual Scarecrow Convention. Scarecrows have a poor lot in life. Long, lonely days. Ugly, outdated uniforms. No wages and not even any recognition. Uptown Rutland Business Association feels scarecrows have gotten the short end of the stick! We encourage all Uptown Rutland businesses to register their scarecrow by emailing info@uptownrutland.com or by calling 250-470-8236. Then display your scarecrow in front of your business for the Kelowna public to vote on. The scarecrow with the most votes will be awarded the inaugural 'Scarecrow Outstanding in Their Field' award for their business. People of Kelowna place your vote for your favorite scarecrow at Old Town Market at Hollywood Station; Maggies Cafe in Rutland Plaza or at the Capital News on Enterprise Road.
