As part of "Protect Human Life Week" September 28 to October 4th, The Kelowna Right to Life Society is excited to host the first ever Okanagan Pro Life Film Festival on Friday October 3rd, 5:30 pm to 10:15 pm in the Heritage Room at Evangel Church on Gordon Drive. The mini-festival will feature four pro life themed films, including the full-length blockbuster, "Amazing Grace." Admission is by tax-deductible donation to the Kelowna Right to Life Society. Late evening snacks and refreshments will be offered and all films are rated mature. Parental guidance is recommended. The festival will open with "Demographic Winter: The Decline of the Human Family," a 50 minute documentary exploring the social and economic effects of plummeting birth rates in many nations around the world. "Amazing Grace," the critically acclaimed story on the life of British abolitionist William Wilberforce follows. A psychological, courtroom thriller, "A Distant Thunder," centered on the grisly practice of partial birth abortion will be shown next; and a Puerto Rican, independent film "22 Weeks"* based on the real life experience of a woman who went in for a 22 week abortion and came out changed forever closes out the line-up.
