Culinary Expedition Comes Back to the Okanagan
Tableland and Joy Road Catering Host Dinner & Movie Events Pixel One Productions and Joy Road Catering are pleased to announce the upcoming Dinner & Movie events in Kelowna and Penticton, July 21-22. The events will start at 6:15 pm with a reception and a local, seasonally inspired meal prepared by esteemed chefs Cameron Smith and Dana Ewart of Joy Road Catering. The meal will include local wine and beer pairings chosen to express some of the region’s best producers. Following the meal, guests will be treated to an intimate screening of Tableland. TABLELAND is an award-winning documentary that profiles the production and benefits of local and seasonal food. It’s about the people with their hands in the dirt; the farmers, chefs and consumers of small-scale, sustainable food. Tableland features mouthwatering imagery and a cast of captivating characters, including local celebrities such as Sinclair Philip of Sooke Harbour House, Brent “The Oysterman” Petkau, and Heidi Noble of Joie Wines. From the orchards of BC, the inner city gardens of Chicago to the Napa Highlands and everywhere in between, TABLELAND showcases the successful production of tasty, local, and seasonal food from field to plate.
