3 Inches of Blood - Canadian heavy metal group formed in Vancouver, British Columbia in 2000. They play a musical style influenced by traditional power metal and by NWOBHM bands of the late 1970s and early 1980s. Their lyrical themes are drawn from epic fantasy, warrior culture and warfare. The band wrote their entire Fire up the Blades album in Tacoma Washington and they performed their new songs at various places all around Washington. As of December 2006, the band have begun recording material for their new album in Armoury Studios (AC/DC, Aerosmith and Kiss recorded there too, among others) in their hometown that will be titled Fire up the Blades, with Joey Jordison of Slipknot as producer.
