Fall Wine Fest Warm-up
Laurel Packinghouse

Time:
HE SAID She Said- it’s a Battle of the Sexes at the BC Wine Museum

Kick-off the Okanagan Fall Wine Festival on October 2nd at 7:00 p.m. at the Laurel Packinghouse

The fall series of WEST begins on October 2nd with the Fall Wine Fest Warm-up. It'll be "He Said She Said" as guests face-off over a selection of blind wine tastings! Will sparks fly as we sip and swirl, or will we find a common ground? Come join in and find out during this battle of the sexes.

This event is part of the Wine Education Series of Tastings (WEST) offered every spring and fall by the BC Wine Museum & VQA Wine Shop. WEST is a wine education program that combines the natural elements of food and wine in an interactive and casual environment. All WEST events are hosted by Julianna Hayes, a wine writer and editor for several publications across Canada.

The spring series of WEST featured the culinary talents of Joy Road Catering paired with British Columbia VQA wines, and welcomed wine industry insiders such as winemaker John Simes from Mission Hill Winery. The fall series begins on October 2nd at 7:00 p.m. at the BC Wine Museum, located inside the Laurel Packinghouse at 1304 Ellis Street.

“What’s great about the WEST program is that it’s accessible to wine lovers of all levels,” comments Peter Fearon, Wine Shop Associate at the VQA Wine Shop. “The events educate you about wine in a way that’s fun, enjoyable, and practical. I always encourage Wine Shop visitors to come try one of the WEST events and learn a little bit more about the wines produced in this province.”

This is a wine and food event with a menu created and prepared by Chef Derek Thompson of Fi Bistro and Divine Proportions.
