BC Earthquake location

The US Geological Survey is reporting a magnitude 6.2 earthquake off the BC coast.

The earthquake hit about 1:19 Tuesday afternoon 178km southwest of Bella Bella.

It hit at a depth of about 12 kilometres.

There are no reports of damage.

The Alaska Tsunami Warning Centre has not issued a warning or advisory of an impending tsunami due to the earthquake.
