Did Alberta man ask girl, 9, to make porn?

An Alberta man faces child pornography charges following an investigation that originated with the FBI in Virginia.

The FBI informed Canadian law enforcement officials about a suspect it believed had convinced a nine-year-old American girl to make sexually explicit videos for him using her webcam.

The southern Alberta Internet Child Exploitation unit, made up of several police agencies, executed a search warrant on a home in Airdrie, Alta., and seized computers and electronic devices.

Robert James Tyndall, 42, faces seven charges including accessing, possessing and making child pornography, sexual interference and two counts of luring.

Tyndall was released on bail and is to appear in court again Aug. 22.

Police say the accused identified himself on various social networking sites with the user names 'Rob Williams' and 'Rob Williams 91'.
