9:30 p.m. FortisBC says the power has been restored to East Kelowna.

7 p.m.: FortisBC crews are on site working to repair a weather-related electricity outage in East Kelowna and the Lower Mission.

Media spokesperson Neil Proban says strong winds knocked a tree onto the power lines.

It is unclear how many homes are affected, but Proban says customers in the Benvoulin,  Swamp Road and KLO area are in the dark.

The power is estimated to be restored by 9:30 p.m.
