You might not get to see Dave Hester or experience the drama of Jarrod and Brandi, but this Storage Warz is for a good cause and worth checking out.
Inspired by the hit TV show and building on last year's success, Storage Warz Charity Auction returns to Spall Storage in Armstrong.
The Storage Warz charity auction event will give people the opportunity to find their own hidden treasures. Ten storage lockers will be auctioned off to lucky bidders. Local businesses have also come together to donate more than $5,000 worth of items to be auctioned off during the event.
The event is sponsored by Valley First Credit Union.
"Yuup! We're bringing Storage Warz back to the North Okanagan," says Valley First's Armstrong branch manager, Ken Britton. "Last year's inaugural event raised more than $10,000 in a just a few short hours. We're delighted to be working with area businesses to bring this tremendous charity fundraiser back for another year."
Other events during Storage Warz include random prize jar draw, Spot Auctions, a Yuuup card draw and a Feed the Valley BBQ. All proceeds will go to the Armstrong Food Bank and other local charities.
Event admission is by donation of a non-perishable food item, or a two-dollar donation. The event takes place at Spall Storage on Pleasant Valley Road in Armstrong Sunday, May 5. Gates open at noon.
