Mud, sweat and tears is a 10k charity obstacle course mud run, set on the shore of Lake Okanagan.
The press releases states, "Expect to push your limits and get your shorts filled with mud while reconnecting with nature. There are heart stopping slopes, tons of obstacles to overcome and a big after party for all mudders, family and friends. It’s a muddy obstacle race course of extreme proportion!"
It's slated for this Saturday (May 4)
Time: All day
Location: Lake Okanagan Resort at 2751 Westside Road.
For more race details check out their website.
Hundreds of participants will be racing, crawling, climbing, carrying and dragging themselves (and possibly fellow competitors), over, under, through and around the hills and muck. It is truly a fitness challenge.
Soles4Souls Canada CEO Jim Belshaw says “It’s a crazy event so even if you don’t compete, you have to come by and see it for yourself.”
After completing this extreme race, the participants will be donating shoes to the Sunrise Rotary’s Million Shoe Mission.
To date, Soles4Souls has collected and sorted a warehouse full of gently used shoes. Hundreds and hundreds of pairs have already been distributed to Okanagan Valley agencies to be made available to those less fortunate.
