Candidates will debate live on Castanet

Castanet has invited the candidates in all three Kelowna area ridings (Kelowna-Lake Country, Kelowna-Mission and Westside-Kelowna) to participate in an all-candidates forum leading up to the May 14 provincial election.

The series of debates will take place Thursday, May 2 from 1 until 4:20 p.m. at the Streaming Cafe, 596 Leon Avenue in downtown Kelowna.

In order to facilitate candidates in all three ridings, debates will be broken into three-one hour sessions.

  • Kelowna-Lake Country, 1 to 2 p.m.
  • Kelowna-Mission, 2:10 to 3:10 p.m.
  • Westside-Kelowna, 3:20 to 4:20 p.m.

Each forum will be streamed live on Castanet and they will be available for viewing for the balance of the campaign.

The forums will feature three parts.

  • Two minute opening statement by each candidate
  • Questions from moderator, readers' submissions and live via twitter. Answers limited to one minute.
  • One minute closing statement by each candidate.
