Spring Flu

Flu Season …is about to hit the valley BIG TIME!...Kelowna’s own infectious foursome the Flu are about to descend onto Kelowna with three special Showcases!  The group are coming off a very successful appearance at Vancouver’s The Roxy, and will do the same here at Flashback’s, Gateway 21 Venue and the Rotary Centre.  The good news continues, with the announcement of the completion of their debut album!  The lads are in a Kelowna studio putting the finishing touches on the album, which will be released in June!!

Felix, Alex, Jonny and Oz invite everyone to come out on the 28th of this month to Flashbacks and take in their new performance set.  Guaranteed to be a highlight of this season’s Live Music in the city, the Flu will be unveiling new material which will be on their debut.  At Flashbacks the group will appear with ‘One Bad Son’, and ‘Malibu Knights’.  Becoming known as one of Canada’s premier Indie bands, the group has caught the attention of such music heavyweights as Jeff Dawson, Mike Fraser, and Ralph James!  The buzz is intensifying, and don’t be surprised to hear about a cross-country tour and possible inroads to an international stage!

The greatly anticipated new album from Bai Bang is about to be unleashed!  “All Around The World” will see an April release, you guessed it!, all around the globe.  The new disc is the group’s eighth effort, and is more melodic than previous excursions.  Diddi’s vocals are stronger and have more depth than what we have heard before…and the music contains the same high level of intensity with positive and bright messages and some will become instant anthems for the new wave of Hard Rockers.

Now, not since the ‘70’s and Nazareth, has an Artist deserved the label; Hardest Working Group.  Jorn does, and he and his musical troop are releasing a brand new album aptly entitled “Traveller”!  Jorn has also enlisted two new and energised members to the group—ex-Wig Wam bassist Bernt Jansen and musical brother Trond Holter.  These two have been playing with the band since early 2012, and the results of their joining should be very interesting indeed!  Stay tuned for more info, on the Hardest Working Group in musicdom, Jorn!
