Soccer club cooks in the community

Kelowna United U-11 soccer club members held a fundraising BBQ at Choices Market on Harvey Saturday afternoon, to raise money for upcoming events and tournaments.

Choices Market donated the use of part of their parking lot to the volunteers, who cooked burgers and hot dogs and collected donations.

"We open our lot to these types of community events twice a month," said father of one of the players and Choices Market store manager, Patrick Clancy.

"It benefits the community and it's something we're happy to be a part of."
