Connector re-opens after crash

Update 7 p.m. - Eastbound traffic is moving once again after a crash briefly closed the route late Monday afternoon. A travel advisory issued due to heavy snowfall has also been lifted.
Highway 97C is closed eastbound due to a vehicle incident 30 km east of Merritt.
DriveBC urges to proceed with caution passing the accident scene and watch for emergency vehicles.
Travel Advisory in also effect due to limited visibility with heavy snowfall from junction with Highway 5A, at Aspen Grove to Pennask Summit.
Travel is not recommended unless absolutely necessary.
