Cougar kill

I would like to express my deepest concern, and disappointment, in the Conservation Dept. of Penticton.

Could you not have taken the time to tranquilize it, move it to a remote location, and “set it free”.  If you state that your department is a conservation dept – you did absolutely nothing to “conserve” this beautiful wild animal.

We all have wild animals in our yards; deer, beer, coyotes, raccoon, etc.   Do we automatically grab a gun and shoot these animals so readily?

I can understand if this animal has been endangering humans and pets, but with all the huge acres of forest within BC, surely there was a location that was suitable for such an animal?
