String of thefts from vehicles in Vernon
RCMP in Vernon were kept busy early Sunday morning following a rash of reported thefts from vehicles.
According to police at least six people reported thefts from vehicles in the 3000 block of 32 Street.
Cpl. Gerry Kovacs says some of the vehicles had their windows smashed while other vehicles had been left unlocked.
Kovacs says earlier that evening, police were alerted to a suspicious male wearing a black hoodie and ball cap checking vehicle doors in a parking lot in the 3500 block of 30 Avenue.
"Police are reminding everyone to remove all contents from your vehicles when parked and lock your vehicle," says Kovacs.
"Police would also like to remind people to report all suspicious activity in your neighbourhood."
