CRIME: ARSON

DATE: March 6, 2013

RCMP FILE: 2013-10458

Lake Country RCMP are looking for suspects and details to an arson that occurred on the morning of March 6, 2013. Sometime between 5:00 and 11:00 AM a vehicle was driven to a gravel pit located near Sherman Drive and Copperhill Road in Lake Country. An unknown accelerant was used to ignite the vehicle which was completely destroyed. Police were able to tell that it was a red Jeep Grand Cherokee.

CRIME: BUSINESS BREAK AND ENTER

DATE: March 3, 2013

RCMP FILE: 2013-9972

A security company reported a business break and enter to Lake Country RCMP at 7:30 AM on March 3. An unknown suspect entered Farmers Fruit and Produce on the 9000 block of Highway 97 by removing the lock tumbler from the door. The suspect targeted the Canada Post outlet area of the store, where he opened cabinets and drawers, dumped mail on the floor and knocked over a wooden cabinet and cardboard boxes. The glass counter top display was smashed. Nothing appears to have been stolen, and the suspect was in and out in less than a minute.
