Police agencies in the South Okanagan teamed up to catch a group of thieves.

Penticton and Summerland RCMP, with help from the Emergency Response Team, stopped a vehicle with a number of suspects wanted on warrants, back on Feb. 3.

Inside the vehicle, police found a duffle bag full of various personal items that appeared to be from a break and enter.

A piece of jewelry (a Victorian brooch) has already been returned to its owner in Penticton. Investigators have been unable to locate owners of the other items which include:

  • A coin collection containing a variety of coins from Europe, Africa, Canada and USA
  • A variety of small antiques
  • A comic book collection stored in a photo album
- hockey card collection

If you have been a victim of a break and enter in the Penticton area and are possibly the owner of these items, or have any information on the owners of these items, please contact the Penticton RCMP Drug Task Force at 250-492-4300.
