Dick Cannings at opening of campaign headquarters

The Penticton NDP Constituency Association held its office warming party in downtown Penticton Tuesday night.

The public was invited to the campaign headquarters at 575 Main Street to meet Richard, Dick, Cannings, NDP candidate for the provincial election in the Penticton constituency.

Cannings, a long- time resident of the city, biologist and author, said the grand opening was held to let people know they are here and open.

“People can drop by and volunteer or just to ask questions about the campaign,” he said.

The three issues in his campaign will be coming up with practical ways to create sustainable economic growth, reducing inequality in BC, meaning the gap between the rich and the poor, and protecting the environment, he said.
