6th annual Woman's Fair
Mar 3, 2013 / 1:29 pm
More than 40 vendors and local businesses participated in the 6th annual Woman's Fair, a trade show where women can browse, win prizes, shop and learn about local businesses.
The one-day event was held Sunday at the Kelowna Sunplex, and featured booths from Adventures in Hair, Behind the Fly, Mavasi Apparel, His n' Hers Fashions and L'Amore Bridal, to name a few.
"We certainly have lots of space this year," said Lynne Glata, of Lavish Accessories. "It's been great so far."
"The best part is that it promotes women in business and you make a lot of connections," said Jean Lanoue of Steeped Tea.
"I would definitely do it again."
Kathleen Lemieux of the Kelowna Women's Shelter was also pleased to have the opportunity to connect with women in her community.
"You meet so many women," she said.
"We're always looking for volunteers, donors and women who might need our resources."
$5000 in prizes were also given away and participants were asked to bring a donation for the Kelowna Food Bank.
