Identity of pedestrian released

The BC Coroners Service has confirmed the identity of a man who died after a motor vehicle incident in Salmon Arm on Feb. 26.  

He was Jason Marcus Greaves, aged 41, of Salmon Arm.

Mr. Greaves was a pedestrian who was attempting to cross Highway 1 at 38th Street NE in Salmon Arm at about 11 p.m. on Feb. 26, 2013 when he collided with a minivan that was proceeding westbound on Highway 1.

Mr. Greaves was transported to hospital in Salmon Arm but was pronounced deceased shortly after his arrival there.  

The Coroners Service and RCMP continue to investigate this death.  

The family of Mr. Greaves has been notified of his death. On behalf of family members, the Coroners Service asks that the media respect their privacy at this difficult time.
