John VanKooten received an unusual Christmas present from his brother-in-law this year: A stone shaped like a human head complete with teeth, eyes and ears.

“He found it in the ground,” said John.

“He knows I like strange things so he cleaned it up and sent it down to me and said ‘merry Christmas’.  It is quite unique.”

John says that at first it was slightly eerie having what looks like a human head in the house, but he “quickly got used to it.”

“When I saw it, it just blew me away.  It's got to be quite old.”

He plans to display Herman, as he has been named, in a glass box to show him off.
