The Regional District of the Central Okanagan has appointed a new Chief Administrative Officer.

Brian Reardon will officially move into the position on April 15, when Paul Macklem returns to his role as General Manager of Corporate Sustainability for the City of Kelowna after a one-year interim appointment.

“Mr. Reardon is very familiar with the Okanagan and has excellent leadership credentials,” says Robert Hobson, regional board chair.

“He served as Chief Administrative Officer for the North Okanagan Regional District and has spent the past five years as administrative leader of the Strathcona Regional District.  His combination of experience in the Regional District form of government along with his leadership talent makes him the perfect fit as the person to head our organization for the years ahead.”

The Regional District of Central Okanagan provides services such as 9-1-1, Dog Control and Regional Parks in the electoral areas and member municipalities of Kelowna, Lake Country, Peachland and West Kelowna.  It also provides local government services to the residents of the unincorporated Central Okanagan East and Central Okanagan West Electoral Areas.
