Council Noise Law

It disgusts me that Kelowna Councillor, Luke Stack is trying to push this noise law through.  Does he not have bigger fish to fry?  Perhaps if Fidel Castro is not too busy, he can float in and take away all of our liberties …….. perhaps pass a law the prohibits the importing of motorcycle mufflers that don't adhere to some politicians ideal standards of what is acceptable to the general populace and what isn't.

Seriously though, I do hope Mr. Stack has taken into account the gross costs of implementing such a needless law ……. consider the costs the public will have to bear through increased taxation for increased enforcement and if every one who might be charged under such a law decided to take every charge through the court system.

Of course we can always plug up the court system with this sort of minutia while the more serious criminal cases are tossed out because of a failure to bring them to trial in a reasonable time as provided for in the Charter of Rights and Freedoms.

I think Mr. Stack would better serve the populace if he were to lobby for the elimination of nuisance laws rather than creating more!
