Multiple meth arrests in Penticton

The Penticton RCMP Drug Task Force has been busy, making a number of drug related arrests over the past two weeks.

On Feb. 14, they arrested 45-year-old Michael William Harfman on Eckhardt Avenue. He was found with methamphetamine and trafficking paraphernalia and was charged with possession for the purpose of trafficking.

The task force arrested 18-year-old Brannick Joseph Rioux on Feb. 20, while he was walking down Main Street. He was found to have methamphetamine, marijuana, a cell phone and two concealed weapons – a knife and a machete. Rioux was charged with possession for the purpose of trafficking, trafficking a controlled substance and possession of a concealed weapon.

Later that same day, they arrested Sarah Noreen Scott, 29, also on Main Street. She was found with methamphetamine, cash, a cell phone and a prohibited weapon. She was charged with possession for the purpose of trafficking, trafficking a controlled substance and possession of a prohibited weapon.

All three were denied bail.
