Car-jacked vehicle hits cars and buses
Feb 26, 2013 / 8:25 pm
Police in Vancouver say they're looking for a man who carjacked a vehicle and smashed it into three parked cars and two buses before fleeing on foot.
It happened late Tuesday afternoon, when police say the man forced a 31-year-old woman into her own vehicle on busy Kingsway Ave., and drove off with the victim in the passenger's seat.
The carjacker then crashed into two cars and two buses.
After the vehicle eventually stopped, police say the suspect ran off with the female in pursuit, but she gave up the chase after a short distance.
Police say they flooded the area with officers and used a dog to try to track down the suspect, but he eluded capture after running through a residential neighbourhood.
The suspect is described as Caucasian, in his 30s, five-foot-eight, with a skinny build and a shaved head. He was wearing a striped cream-coloured shirt, black pants and possibly an orange or yellow jacket.
