The pre-trial conference for a Penticton man facing a second degree murder charge in the death of a teen at a graduation bush party was put over to March 4 in a Penticton court room Monday.

Jamie Wolanski, 20, made a brief appearance by video on charges of breach of recognizance and possession of a controlled substance.

His case was held over because the defence attorney needs more information.

Wolanski was arrested last June for breaching bail conditions, set after the stabbing death of 16-year-old Andrew McAdam  at the party in the Carmi area in June of 2011.

At the time he had been out on $75,000 bail, with several conditions attached.

At his last court appearance, Wolanski who has changed lawyers since the start of his case,  was told he needs to move quickly to get a trial date set because there are only two blocks of jury trial dates available in Penticton in 2013.

Any discussion on a change of venue to Kelowna was also expected to take place before his next appearance, Feb. 25, to set a date for his murder trial.
