Kelly Scott's Kelowna foursome weren't at their collective best but they were good enough to win their opening game at the 2013 Scotties Tournament of Hearts in Kingston, ON.

Despite curling just 65 per cent Scott made some clutch shots as she managed to squeak out a 7-6 victory over Alberta champion Kristie Moore.

Tied 2-2 after three, Scott scored one in four then stole a pair in five to take a 5-2 lead.

Moore would get the deuce back in six, however, the teams exchanged singles the rest of the way giving Scott the one point victory.

Scott gets the early wake-up call Sunday when she faces arch rival Jennifer Jones of MB in the 9 a.m. (6 a.m. Pacific time) draw.

She will close out day two against Mary-Anne Arsenault of NS in the evening draw.

Scott is tied with seven lother rinks who picked up victories during day one of the week long event.
