Unsolved crimes: West Kelowna

DATE: February 4, 2013

RCMP FILE: 2013-5822

Suspects broke into storage lockers at an apartment building located on the 3800 block of Brown Road in West Kelowna between February 6 and 7, 2013. The storage lockers were constructed with wood and needed to be entered via a keyed locking door. Locks were cut off 44 storage lockers. One of the lockers held several firearms including a Browning Citori 12 gauge shot gun (serial# 15057H47), an Ethica #37 Featherweight 12 gauge (serial # 523583-4), a Winchester Model # 1897 (serial # E580840), and a Hungarian single shot pellet gun (serial # 65906). Around midnight one of the residents noticed a vehicle that did not belong in the complex that may be associated to the thefts. It was a very loud older model black SUV.

RCMP FILE: 2013-6528

Just before 7:00 AM on February 12, West Kelowna RCMP received a call from the owner of a truck that had been stolen overnight from his driveway on the 3500 block of Brown Road. The truck was a 2008 white Ford F350 with BC license plate number DN2871. The truck also had white bumpers, 8” lift kit, 22” aftermarket chrome rims, 38” tires, aftermarket fender flares, 4 PIAA fog lamps mounted on the front bumper and had a 660 litre slip tank full of diesel in the pickup.
