CRIME: THEFT OF HOCKEY BAG
DATE: February 1, 2013

Lake Country RCMP were contacted on February 1st regarding a stolen hockey bag. The bag had been left at the front door area of the Winfield arena on January 31 and was taken between 9:00 AM and 3:00 PM. The black and yellow “GRIT” hockey bag contained approximately $1500 worth of equipment including a black Boston Bruins jersey, “Base” white hockey stick and Bauer Vapour skates.

CRIME: BREAK AND ENTER AND THEFT

A break and enter was reported to Lake Country police on January 21, 2013. Thieves entered a worksite on the 9200 block of Okanagan Center Road West and stole tools from the site and items from the house. The company responsible for the rock wall had their work trailer broken into and most of their equipment stolen. Thieves got 3 orange Stihl concrete saws (series 400), 1 box of concrete saw blades, two plate tampers (Bodog series) and some rolls of black plastic grid. The thieves then entered the home by twisting off the garage door handle and stole a sink and some faucet fixtures. All of the doors of the home were left open.
